Only one application for Registration under Contract Labour (R & A) Act, 1970 can be made from one ID. Hence, the Principal Employer has to create different ID to apply for Registration for multiple establishments.

The ‘Form-V’ which was issued during getting licence is also to be used during renewal.

As per CL (R&A) Act, 1970, if 10 or more contract labours are engaged in an establishment by the contractor, he requires to get licence under the said act.

There is no such expiry date of Registration stated in the Act/Rules.

The Establishments which are already registered by Appropriate Authority in offline process under the Act, have to apply as Already Registered.

Offline/manual registration number means the Registration/Licence number which was issued manually by Registering/Licensing Authority before starting the registration/licensing process through online portal (https://wblc.gov.in).

At first the Principal Employer has to apply for amendment of his registration for changing the maximum number of contract labour against any of his enlisted contractor. After getting approval of such amendment from the Registering Authority, the contractor has to apply for amendment of his Licence.

After getting the Registration by Principal Employer from Registering Authority, system generated Form-V bearing unique serial number will be auto generated at the end of the Principal Employer against each and every contractor. This serial no. is required while applying for licence under CL (R&A) Act, 1970.
